So we do a good chunk of our business with them. There are pros and cons, like most brokers.
The autonation loads are nearly unverifiable and when you get there to pick up they sold it before they even posted it for transport. A little ridiculous if you ask me. They do issue a dry run fee but 35 dr is ridiculous if you ask me!
What are some of your thoughts and past experiences with them?

Used to be a decent company, now..........CHEAP! They bump the price up only after the load sits for a week or two. Ive put them on my do not call list after they did just what you described, got there and 3 of 7 vehicles actually existed and they refused to up the rate or give a dry run fee.
wyodispatchgirl and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
We pickup a lot of lease returns for them, but it's from an area with little traffic, so the rates are decent. Other than that, let's just say I rarely bother checking the site for freight.

They are cheap! Sometimes it works out. I sure don't go with them when there's something better out there. I always book an extra just in case something goes wrong. It does 99% of the time anyway so I've just learned to work with them. But the great thing is that they pay on time. Like at some point it has to be better to get paid on time than to get the most expensive cargo out there.

Cars arrive is owned by AdesaS mother Corp like ready is to Manheim. We do work for both. We verify all cars before we dispatch a truck. It's much more cost effective for a $15 per hr office person to verify than sending a truck. We move many for both and weekly have cars dispatched that are not at the location given. Hope that helps.

I like ready, their prices are also cheap but at least they'll let you bid and consider it.
Every load I have noticed has been getting cheaper. They claim diesel is cheaper when you ask a bit more. Well, diesel isn't our only cost. We pay for insurance, trucks, trailers, drivers, office person to do their half assed job, other equipment, etc. These brokers are kidding us right?!
It's a costly business to be in. I love it. But there are harsh realities we have to adapt to if we want to stay. That's why I have seen many start and give up right away. Friend of ours thought it was all fun and games and driving around the country sightseeing. We looked at him and we all "come again?!"sxdime Thanks this. -
Great response.

Always ask for a manager they will pay more money the dispatchers can not add much. I do local repos for them and inop no key they will pay flatbed rate. Any VW can be put in neutral and with a good winch they are easy. Lease returns your lucky to get 50 bucks over what they are offering. Smart auction cars also pay well and if you think your getting screwed ask the dealer what they are paying CA most will tell you and you'll realize CA is being fair. Like all of us they are in it to make money so do not be afraid to ask for more or turn it down if they cannot give you what you need.
clara Thanks this.
