I don't know if this is in the right section so mods please feel free to move my dumb ### in the right direction!!! Ha ha! Anyway, I am having an issue with a Thermo King TriPac. It's a DPF version, but that is not the issue, thought I'd give more info. Problem is, when I turn it on, if I turn the APU button on, it immediately goes to the ENG code. It will not even attempt to crank. This started when I got a service on the truck. I checked the switch on the unit, the breaker, and the DPF switch up front to make sure all were on. They are. I went to the back of bunk and checked all wires to make sure everything was connected. They are. The only thing I could find was that the water lines were turned off, and I turned those back on. I've looked high and low for this, even making sure the batteries were properly connected. Now, when the APU goes to ENG, and I shut it off, the temp goes to 70, which means it reset itself. Could this be directly in the APU's alternator? Or maybe something in the board itself? Thanx for any help you guys can give me!

BTW, heat still works and I can control it from control panel (it does have the webasto heater). I know its a seperate unit, but what could make the APU not even crank? Thanx again guys.

The Eng code means that the APU run circuit is energized by the controller board but the run relay is not energized, which could be caused by a tripped reset switch (under bunk), blown fuse (F8 under bunk), engine switch off (APU engine compartment) or DPF shutdown. I'm not very familiar with the DPF part of the circuit since I don't have a DPF , but that's everything in that circuit that could cause the Eng code other than a loose connection or broken wire.

You said you already checked the engine switch, I'd check the reset switch next (under bunk), make sure the DPF regen switch is on, and check fuse F8 (under bunk). I'm not sure where the DPF regen switch would be, but I'd guess in the engine compartment. Maybe someone else can help there.

Also, after you fix the problem, the controller in the sleeper has to be turned off and back on to reset the Eng code.

I would check all of the fuses that are outside of the box in the bunk. If the engine fan fuse is blown, it will keep the unit from starting too.
