The ugly part of trucking - 10/23/2019

Aren't those self driving trucks are amazing? Seems like a nice guy, used to truck with guys just like this. Salt of the earth, they were. When I saw the title, I was sure it WASN'T going to be about relationships, but it is. I didn't listen to it all, but I think there's much uglier sides of trucking besides your phoney-baloney relationships. I can say, many times, guys go into trucking to get away from the relationship, it's not the trucks fault. I say, there's problems that led up to a person doing a job like this. And what's her bitxx? It's better than ever to keep in touch. Years ago, we never had social media, phones, etc. that was REAL true love if she stayed with you. She , like my ex, fails to realize, you like the house? This is what it takes. Sorry, I have no sympathy for these crybaby women. Maybe that's why I've been single for 15 years, and will probably die alone.

 

I made it about 30 seconds. Cigarette lit and he eased back in his chair to start whatever yarn he had planned. I'm gone. You're right. That's the ugly side of trucking!

 

Ever been around an old cigarette smoker that just oozed an awful, acrid odor through the pores of their skin (it seems)...the kind you can smell from 30’ away...the kind that makes your eyes water?

That’s what I think about every time I watch one of his videos. My stepdad was a chain smoker. On car trips I’d have to put a jacket over my head and stick the sleeve outside in the air stream in order to breath. It was miserable.

I used to dread my visits to see him and my mom. The whole house made my eyes and throat sting.

He finally quit when he got lung cancer. It was shocking how he looked the weekend he died, like a skeleton wearing a diaper.

 

I like to stop by and visit with these women and my, I mean their children.

 

Most companies allow riders. MY GF loves to go with me. Maybe you should find one like that.

 

My fav themtube video was J Canell’s “The no BS trucking lifestyle” but he deleted his account for some reason. That one was gold and super accurate. Running the road is a unique lifestyle that will take things from you but it will also give you something in return that others don’t get with their 9-5 hangin around town job. True story. ​

 

Her situation cannot be her fault in any way, thus, it is truckings fault. At the end of the day, it comes down to bad luck that her life hasn't turned out the way she wanted. Her actions and choices are at all times above reproach, and life is something that is being done to her. She is the disempowered victim of circumstance.

 

There is a party that specializes in that. They can fix everything for you.
