Id like to give all those who read this a true impression of this broker. They dont care about you or your business, all they want to do is get you on the load as cheap as possible and make the most margin on the load they can. The average is about $200/load so you should always counter that amount on their offer at least if not more because they can make up to $1000 or more on some loads. They will hold you on loads and shop for cheaper trucks and then cancel with silly excuses. They never request your detention or layovers so make sure and get that added on the confirmation before you deliver. Their company has grown extremely fast reason being they screw the trucks and employees every chance they get. Instead of having meetings about employee & carrier relations all the executives meet about is how they can increase their margins and fatten their retirement plan. The CEO even bragged about his while we were slaving away making him rich so dont be surprised that he came from an accounting firm counting beans. He was brought on because the other owner, his brother, was handed the biz by his father so he had no hard work ethic and had everything given to him. He wasted countless thousands of the companies money on stocks but what did he care b/c they have brokers that gross them monthly what they get paid yearly! I thought being family owned meant that they would work as one but they are as corporate as any other and wont think twice about screwing you if it means another dime for them. So you can say I am just venting or you can take this to heart and know that if you use them make sure you hit them over the head with your rate because they have to move the load and have plenty in the bank to spend for it. And I cant wait to see the heart felt response they give to this but dont believe a word of it because its a PR rep that knows dip about trucking and only doing so because its their job.

Just had a load last Friday from these ###clowns. Told my dispatcher load was a D6 CRAWLER, 30-35k lbs with legal dims. Show up and it is a 45k lbs D6 with 13-4 blade. Loaded it, scaled it and took it to the yard. Told Reed Transport Service (RTS) it was a permit load and they were gonna pay for permits, escort, and additional weight, double the confirmation rate or I was taking the load to an impound yard. Lots of gnashing of teeth, threats, etc. Called shipper/consignee (one and the same) and told him he had to get a release from RTS and pay me cash if he wanted his Dozier since his equipment had found it's way on my trailer without a contract because RTS had deliberately lied about the dims. Finally got the new confirmation out of RTS (ALWAYS get a new confirmation BEFORE delivery--if the broker tries to beat you out of your money AFTER you get a new confirmation, you can file against their bond to get paid), delivered and the shipper/consignee asked me WHY I took the load when I saw that the dims were different than what I was told. This meant HE WAS IN ON THE SCAM because their deal is to lie to the carrier to induce the carrier to pick up a permit load-the carrier shows up, and if the carrier complains about the dims, the carrier leaves without pickup and no money--if the carrier does pick up the load, then the carrier hauls an oversize load for cheap (and has to do it illegally without escort--and this particular load had to traverse US 129 in North Georgia, a 13-4 wide killer on a two lane mountain road for sure. I was further infuriated when the shipper/consignee asked how I could put the poor owner out by threatening to take the load to impound!
