So I just got my new 2013 New NY HUT sticker that now must be on the vehicle.
It's about 4x3 and purple for the 21st series.

The back of the sticker claims this:

"This sticker must be affixed to the body (not the bumper) of the CMV near the front license plate.
If this decal cannot be affixed to this area, please contact the NYS Tax Dept....."

I got a W900 that has virtually no place to put this dam thing.
I was going to put it on the side, along with the IFTA and other stickers....

Anyone have this sticker yet or contacted NYS to see where else it might be ok??

Put it on the side of the step on a permit flap. Next to IFTA and fed annual inspection. At least then it's all together so they can get an eyefull all at once.

    Hanadarko and Logan76 Thank this.

I also have a W900L. Mine is going to go between the bumper and the headlights, on the drivers side. Have seen a few that way with the previous stickers. Although I do not have a special metal plate for the IFTA and such, that is just at the bottom back of cab.

All of the permit stickers that the states and government use are very easily removed with a heat gun, just warm it up and start at one corner and it will pull right off, if it is winter, you might have to heat it a little more. If you don't have a heat gun then a hair dryer will work just fine, you don't get the sticker to hot, you just warm it up. After removing the sticker, if any adhesive remains on the paint, just put some lacquer thinner on a "clean" wrag and wipe gently in one direction, always turning the wrag to use a clean area, (so that you don't wipe the adhesive back on), with very little effort the adhesive will come right off, (just remember, "lacquer thinner", not paint thinner), if there are any dark streaks from the lacquer thinner left, it will wash right off with soap and water or a soapy cloth, and of course the truck wash will remove it also. I have used this method since I started out as a kid and have never hurt any paint job on a truck, I have also removed bumper stickers from cars that people had installed on the paint. In the old days we had as much surface on the doors covered with stickers as we did with paint.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

True...except the last IFTA sticker I removed was scored on purpose, about 12x. It only came off in teeny pieces, even with heat and even when it was on a stainless plate!

It does take a little longer when they score them, if we keep on, we are going to be back where we were years ago, with stickers all over the place in random locations, determined by the states. I don't know why the FED can't get this stopped, or why the states can't grasp the problem.
