Just wanted to hear from some swift drivers if they like the new Volvo trucks. Are they reliable or break all the time?. Also how does the jake brake work in them as on this forum they say the engine has more to do with jake brake performance than the truck itself. Never driven one yet at swift, only kws or freightliner.

I driven many older Volvo’s and they ride wayyy smoother than these pos freightshakers, I’m about to whine and cry for a new Volvo this 18 freighshaker is a nightmare on these roads.

I've driven Volvos with the Volvo D13 engine and my experience with the engine brake (it is NOT a "Jake") is that it's about half (1/2) as strong as either the engine brake on an ISX15 Cummins or the Jacobs (Jake) engine brake on a Detroit DD15.

Why do you want to have an answer only from the swift drivers?
I could tell you how I like it too.
