Just in case some of you newbies haven't heard the legend of the ghost trucker, this is how it goes:
Many years ago as a Swift driver pulled into a truck stop, another driver decided to play a prank on him and say some bad things about him over the CB. He picked up the microphone and announced to the whole truckstop that the Swift driver, who had just pulled in, had robbed him last week. He said that the Swift driver had dressed up as a woman and pretended to have trouble with his truck. He said that when he walked up to the truck and asked if he could help, the Swift driver pulled a gun, tied him up, and took all of his money. He told the Swift driver that it was a dirty trick to dress up as a woman. The Swift driver replied "I always dress as a woman, at least a little bit. Even if it's just wearing panties underneath my work jeans." The driver went on to tell the others at the truck stop that he wished he could get even with the Swift driver, but he didn't have time because he had a tight schedule to keep. All the drivers who heard this got very angry and began to plot a way to get even with the Swift driver. Their tempers grew worse and worse until they reached the breaking point. Five drivers got out of their trucks, each with a weapon in their hand. They broke out the window on the Swift truck, climbed in, and pulled the Swift driver out. The five drivers cursed the Swift driver and told him that he was going to get a beating for robbing their fellow driver. They told the Swift driver the whole story they heard on the CB, including the part about always wearing panties, as they beat him mercilessly with baseball bats, tire thumpers, and cargo chains. The whole time that he was being beaten, the Swift driver kept insisting that he was innocent, which only made the five drivers more angry. In their frenzy of rage, they beat the Swift driver so badly that he died from his injuries. To this very day, it is said that the ghost of the Swift driver prowls the highways searching for his killers and proclaiming his innocence by saying "I ain't got no panties on".

some off those drivers that come on the radio and say that, are down right creepy sounding. I believe they really do wear panties and don't have them on

Turns out the Swift driver was named Tom Swift (true story). After beating him up badly all the cowardly drivers got in their trucks and pulled out of the truck stop in a hurry when they thought they'd killed him. However, Tom spent a couple weeks in the hospital and made a full recovery.
After major media attention when a Good Samaritan trucker posted a video of the incident on Youtube, including the guy on the CB that instigated the attack, all the attackers were arrested, convicted, and thrown in jail. They all lost their jobs and trucks. When the police searched his truck it turned out he also had a fetish for panties, with a collection of over 100 panties in a hidden compartment and a rather "interesting" collection of porn on his computer.
Tom sued his attackers, the instigator, their companies, and the truck stop and won several million dollars. He became a highly successful fleet owner servicing oil rigs, making tens of thousands of dollars in profit each day. Soon he owned several houses and a Learjet, which he learned to fly and got his pilot's license.
The instigator of the attack became notorious as the guy that "done wrong" to the now famous Tom Swift. Turns out his new cell mate used to drive for Swift, and arranged for a pair of pink panties to be smuggled into jail. They photographed the instigator in a variety of compromising positions and the photos soon went viral. Tom framed the front cover of the Daily News with one of the pictures and hung it over the desk of his office overlooking the ocean in Santa Monica.
One day Warren Buffet invited Tom to go to Bali to look at an investment opportunity with a new resort complex. They flew to Bali on Tom's Learjet.
After concluding a highly successful deal Tom decided to hit the local disco and started partying with a group of Australian men that turned out to be a film crew shooting the next Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. They invited him to the next day's shoot, where he met the McDaniel twins (who went on to become the cover girls of the best selling edition in history).
Tom began dating Jan McDaniel (although he wasn't ever sure if it was Jan or Jackie), fell in love, and proposed marriage. She accepted, at least he thought it was Jan that accepted.
They had a huge wedding attended by celebrities. On their wedding night Jan presented him a wedding present, a HUGE bed, at least XXXL King Size, with her sister on the bed. Jan (or Jackie) said, "We're twins. We're inseparable. We do everything together."
Tom Swift lived very happily ever after.
The End
Oh....
... the ghost? That's the instigator. He's still looking for his panty collection.
