The Infamous Trucker Tan

    So here I am about a month after upgrading and doing pretty well i may say other than the 1 week more truck was in the shop. I get home this afternoon and start to take a shower when i notice that my left arm is considerably darker than my right. Now i know that it is because that is the arm riding the door when driving so i will not ask how to prevent it, but is there something that we truckers can do to try to even things out a lil bit. I know i am not the best looking guy in the world but would like to be at least one shade of color.

    May I suggest however unmanly it is to just sit outside in the sun and cover your left arm to tan your right? I have a farmers tan and when I tan it tends to stay and won't tan past a certain point so I don't have the "Infamous Trucker Tan"

    Your a new driver, dont worry about your one arm tan, you have to worry about your belly getting bigger, and once you cant see your little buddy down below, then you have some serious problems.:laughing-guffaw:

    dont feel bad i have been doing Backing training all week in an old volvo with no AC. My left arm is several shades darker than my right and i have been riding my bike to class every day. My left arm is red like an indian, my right arm is mexican brown and the rest of me is pasty white scotch irish.

    I worked with a guy who used to cut the toes out of tube socks and then stretch the remainder of the sock over his left arm. It looked funny, but he didn't have the truckers tan.
