Does anyone know the hiring process at Texas Transeastern? I went for and interview and just done the drivinig test. Do anyone know what the next step is? Has anyone worked for this company before? Do you think that if they wasn't planning on hiring me that they wouldnt have ask me to come in for a road test?

I have been with the company for about 6 months now. I have a lot of things to say about the company. Mostly good, and a few bad. As always there are pros and cons to every company but overall my experience has been good. ALSO I need to specify that I work at one of the satellite yards and not at the main office in Pasadena, so this is for my experience at my home terminal. The home office always seems to be more organized, have far better maintained equipment than the other yards. I came from working a NON Hourly food service job for many years so I am used to hustling to make my money. TTE is no different, if you are hungry for loads and are willing to move at a steady pace and not take long meal breaks/sit and shoot the breeze with customers for an extra 10 mins/things like that then you can and will make good money. This was my first fuel hauling job and my training was average at best. This had a lot to do with the trainer not really wanting to be a trainer than anything. I know several other trainers and they do a phenomenal job. My biggest complaint is lack of organization. Our most veteran dispatcher is only 3 months into the job, and the new ones know so little that I basically have to tell them what to do if I have an issue. This really isn't their fault in my opinion because they are never given adequate training and have to learn as they go. Double dispatches and not dispatching stores that need a delivery/creating an emergency to get them serviced before they run out is a fairly normal problem. The second complaint is that they are often holding off on repairs that need done, due to "budget issues". Also we have a lot of issues with the trailer paperwork needing renewed at the loading racks and the office won't get it taken care of thus your trailer is unusable until it gets updated.

The rest of my time there has been pretty good overall. Home every night/mostly newer type stores to deliver/ and the terminal manager is a fantastic guy and I believe he will continue to improve things in the future.
