My husband is looking for somewhere (other than Marshall Tech) where he can take his CDL test in alabama that he can also use their truck. His already gone through school and there is a serious issue with the skills test administrator there at Marshall Tech so we are looking for another location.

The issue won't be an issue elsewhere?

This is kind of an abnormal request. Schools aren't in the business of testing other schools students.

Let's talk about the issue and maybe we can help you.

His school (tdi) doesn't have a certified test administrator. So they go to Marshall tech which has a certified administrator. When he went to take his test he was informed she really didn't want to be there that day because she had a funeral to be at and it was her birthday. Over half who were testing that day failed on ridiculous things. Yes, he could pay and retest at Marshall tech but it would be with the same woman and it's 4.5 hours from our home. We would rather him either take it in the Huntsville area where he can stay with family, or south alabama where we live.

thanks for the suggestion on calhoun, will give them a call tomorrow. Everything in the dothan and troy area requires you to have your own truck and trailer, and the place we checked in Montgomery's first appointment time is mid Jan. we have a few friends who are owner operators but getting an appointment time when they are home and unloaded is a joke (as I'm sure you know)

I took my neighbor to calhoun a few months back. they do have everything for you to get a class a c.d.l. they have a daycab with a back window, which makes it real easy when backing. I do not know the price though. they have quite a bit of folks lined up for these tests.
