For those that have owned and driven. Looks like I have purchased (subject to inspection) a 98 T600 13spd, 500 Detroit and 3.70 404's in the back.

I know plenty about the KW's mechanically, but have no idea of driveability. I've also heard they are heavy.

I pull a 48' flat all over, but try to stay from mid America west to the coast. Have I made a bad decision? Any worries?

You can see in the pics, the 5th wheel is set above, and possibly behind the rear axle. Seller states that the 5th wheel is fixed, but I see what appears to be a slider in the pics. I may be wrong though.I have several slider assemblies I can install, but will likely have to drill holes for them. No worries there, I'm capable. img.jpeg-6.jpg img.jpeg-5.jpg

The only thing that I didn’t like about them was the mirrors. The convex doesn’t cover enough area for my liking.
@rollin coal had one for awhile.

You'll definitely need to install one of you sliders to get that fifth wheel forward. It looks like it's the same setup with my W9. The berths are bolted right to the frame. No suspension/shocks/bags like the newer ones or same vintage 379s.

It’s an aerocab so it has suspension. KW puts the bags and shocks under the sleeper.

Those side farings are not OEM either. Plus the mismatched paint.

Looks like it was one of these Canepa Motorsports T600’s in it’s former life. Be a pretty neat piece of equipment to have.

That would explain the long slide 5th wheel to.

I had a T600 for a short time while I rebuilt the 359 I'am driving now .. it was a 94 I belive .. it had a 12.7 with a 9 speed it was a retired TMC truck .. I didn't have any real complaints about it other than I thought it lacked some ponies .. it rode good and fuel mileage was good as mentioned in another post the mirrors weren't the best feature ...

Not that difficult to add a slide

3.70s shouldn’t be bad if it has 24.5s

if I put another truck together it’s going to be a t600, but I haven’t even been looking with prices the way they are
