    What do you think?

Tehachapi I prefer for getting into San Joaquin Valley.

Never knew where Boron was lol.

Solicited by my first lot lizard in Bakersfield near Bruce's Truck stop. She was self-employed lol.

They all say that.I don't know anyone who runs I-5 for the scenery.Sometimes it's hard to justify out of route miles.

A little history here. The grapevine used to be called the ridge route. That's years ago when it was a two lane road. My father had a second job and him and another driver from Richfield would pull boxes up to S.F. and back. He told me the first thing they'd do is rip off the dust covers on the brakes so they wouldn't heat up so much. That was back in the day when going down those grades were hairy sometimes.

Purely depends on the direction you're coming from.

Grapevine is a little more straight forward, but bumpy as hell and crowded.

Tehachapi is longer and curvier and more up and down, but less hosed with traffic and little easier on the kidneys.

Sure, from the Empire, with a lighter load. I'd do that just to skip 210. 44500 in the box? I'd think twice. Now that I don't live there anymore, I don't get out there.
