    Hey guys,
Has Kuchenreither of N. Ridgeville, Ohio been purchased or lost some of there mail hauling contract to Target Trans Logistics of Austintown, Ohio?

A couple weeks ago I was on my way to work and I saw a Target Trans Logistics mail truck pulling an old Kuchenreither trailer, well you could see the Kuchenreither ghost markings and the NAPA Auto Parts ghost markings which is where Kuchenreither got the trailer from. The trailer wasn't exactly brand new or in great shape, seen it around a lot. However I found it weird that Target Trans Logistics would have an old truck trailer from another company, I can't believe they just bought it used the things on it's 3rd owner at least. So I wonder if that trailer was dedicated to a certain route and Kuchenreither lost the route or got bought out? Just wondering.

Even if contract carriers lose a route, it doesn't mean anouther carrier can take over their trailers. Around my area, Veltri, Ling, and Finkle are the main Mail Carriers, and they all have their own trailers. Most of these guys have bidded routes, where they come in at the same time, do the same runs, and bump the same docks every day or night. A lot of them will leave they're trailers at the Postal Facility centers, where they get mixed in with our own leased trailers and are loaded, ready for pickup. They also pull our own leased trailers as well, even our own MVS and PVS trailers which are THE actual Postal Trailers. I've also seen OTR mail carriers like Eagle and MTI use their own trailers, as well as using ours. So one carrier pulling anouther carriers trailer is highly unlikely, unless like you mentioned, they got bought out. They can only pull their own trailers our ours.

A lot of our leased trailers have old Ghost Markings on it slapped on with a Postal Trailer number. I've seen old markings from MS Carriers to Toys R Us on them. Even a lot of the O/O's that I've seen have old Ryder or Penske ghost markings on them.

The whole Postal Service will be getting new tractors soon, as well as the letter carriers, but the trailers will probally remain the same.
