Ok this one is obviously MOSTLY on the ####### 4 wheeler. Buuuuut the trucker is likely cooked too. Unless there is something not obvious from the photos he should have had time to spot and move around the vehicle. Im guessing distracted?

Again maybe im missing something and ill be happy to admit im wrong if someone points it out, but the trucker did screw up as well. If he had to swerve hard enough to slosh over he had to be pretty #### close or going really #### fast before he reacted.

I was told never to upset a tanker. Knock whatever is in your way into oblivion, but don't tip over a tanker. Dash cam is paramount here.

Hopefully, I will never get in a similar situation. But I will not swerve to miss a car. You see too many tanker drivers getting killed or hurt bad when they do. If I hit someone by not swerving, I would likely stop driving, but i would be alive.

I had a close call like that a year and a half ago on I-10 westbound near Anahuac,Texas. Someone thought it was a good idea to leave their broke down Ford F-150 in the #4 lane (slow/granny lane) with no hazard lights or anything to warn traffic). And this was was around 10:30-11:00 pm at night, and on that particular stretch of I-10 there’s no lighting, save for the service station near where the pickup truck broke down. That area is practically swampland. If I hadn’t seen the license plate on that truck there would’ve been a wreck! That, and the fact that there was little traffic, along with being governed at 65 mph are the only things that saved me.
