im looking at becoming a trucker in the near future, i was wondering would it be possible to strap a road legal dirt bike style motorcycle to the back of the cab and still be able to tow a flatbed trailer or would the trailer hit the bike as i turned. im asking this as i thought it would be a lot easier tan bobtailing to the local grocery store. thanks

I've seen it done before. You just have to make sure the trailer will clear and the only way to know for sure is to load it and see. Get another person and load it the hook your trailer and make the most radical turns you can and have the other person watch. Slide your fifth all the way forward if you have a slider. You got to make sure you can load and unload by yourself or you might be just wasting your time. Also be sure to look for where it might rub against the cab. You don't want to leave any makes.

If you find you can't load a full motorcycle, what about those motor assisted bicycle? That would be lighter. Or, like a moped. Not as cool, but as long as it gets you there.

Get a truck with a longer wheel base and not an overly huge sleeper and you should have plenty of room on the frame rails to put a bike. I've seen in the Pilot magazine ads for an enclosed box that goes behind a sleeper for a cruiser motorcycle. Sure it can be done, where there's a will there's a way!!!
good luck
