TA Ozark Trails Mount Vernon Missouri

For those that do not know already there is a new stop opening. TA and Ozark Trails is opening their new stop. It will have a bigger easier to access service garage. It will host 100 trucks and 20 camper dedicated parking spots. It is just across the freeway from their other lot in Mount Vernon Missouri. Opening day is supposed to be April 25th.

The Wilmoth family is very pro trucker and owns a couple stops. THey really want to be there for the truckers. For now the new location will have a Wendys but the Subway may stay open at the other location. There is also several other fast food businesses there as well. The Walmart is small and does not tolerate Semis. I have seen a couple drive bobtail only and get away with it.

 

So I have had a chance to dig deeper. There are 200 parking spots for trucks with 15 paid. 20 RV sites away from the trucks. 50 car pumps and 10 lanes for semis on fuel. Showers are big as is the store. Wendys broke records on first week sales. Subway is also still available. The shop is seldom full and thay have over 500 tires still available. Weekly more tires are deliverd from new, recapps, and supers. An all around impressive selection. THey stock bunk ac filters and have 2 ac service machines available. Their parts warehouse is almost as big as the old service bay. Easy in and easy out. For the first 3 weeks they have never been full or even half full on parking.

If you are a large or small company with lanes along 44, the new owners are looking for contracts on PMs and tire servoce. They have 3 service road trucks, but still looking for more DOT certified mechanics. Yes during the day you can even get a DOT inspection.

The owners also own acrage behind the stop. They could grow larger than Joplin 44! with the two TA Centers they now total 300 parking spots. Joplin 44 has 475 spots and is a cluster at times getting in and out. This new TA may be a much better choice for some. The service manager Mike wants your business. I heard him talking to some drivers and he is passionate to make this one of the best places in Missouri to park and service your truck.

 

I have tried but they marked it as the old fuel stop that is abandoned across from TA #72.

 

But, they own another 45 acres behind it for expansion and the two locations together have 350 parking spots available. We have not filled half full at the new location yet. Get the word out. The owner is also building new TA stops in Nevada, Missouri and Neosho Missouri.
