First off, there is no way to get to the fuel island from the interstate, they have set up road blocks, and you have to make a U-Turn if you can make it to get there.
Second, We needed a tire they said $620. We drove a half a mile to Maryland Tire and got a new one for $270, not a recap!
Third, they called and left a message that they was going to tow my truck because it was not in a legal parking spot. Aww, it was marked in yellow paint along with the other 20 trucks. And there was no, I mean no parking signs anywhere. I was in a parking spot blocking NOTHING!

-
lol Yea, not the favorite amongst truck drivers.
Get there after 4pm and its a mad house. -
I live down the boulevard in Baltimore from them, that TA is the best part of the neighborhood. Behind it is some big warehouses and prisons. That place is pretty horrible. Maryland does not have any really nice truck stops. Though if your out toward Hagerstown the ACT is supposed to have the best fried chicken around. It has always surprised me someone hasn't come in here and built a really nice big stop. Oh yea, the hooker probably either got married or locked up. Future reference if you come down the boulevard north towards Baltimore right after you pass interstate 695 there is the Beltway Motel, and in there is a bar and restaurant called Chappies. They usually have room for a couple a few trucks to park, and if not Home Depot parking lot behind them and Walmart across the street. Real friendly people at Chappies, great food, good place to stop. As for fuel, that is another story, on the way down the boulevard Hess has truck pumps, and past Chappies on Rt 1 is a Farm Store that has diesel, but you might want to drop your trailer somewhere before you hit it cause it is real busy.

So, you're saying you have a truck stop (that sells diesel fuel) but, they keep you from getting to the fuel island to buy fuel ? I think if I owned a fuel stop, I'd make it very easy for trucks to get in, SO THEY CAN BUY FUEL ! I haven't been there to the T/A in Jessup for quite some time, but I seem to remember access was good. Now, is it possible the city/state has some kind of obstacle course you have to get thru to enter ?
Jokingypsy Thanks this. -
well I don't think anyone goes there if they don't have to

That place was dump back in the 70's. They still got that motel/hotel attached ? The pickens are slim in that area for trucks, right ?
-
Still got the hotel attached. Last time I was there it was a Knights Inn.
Not the best truck stop around but the competition nearby isn't any better. Being right across the street from the Jessup Produce Market nets them tons of business. -

The problem getting in there is if you come off I-95 and don't know the area, you would want to cross rte 1, turn right into truck stop. There is no right turn in, you turn right in front of truck stop, come up to the stop sign, then have to u-turn into the truck stop on an extremely busy road. If you turn right ( south) on rte 1 then turn left at the first light, it is really not that bad getting into. You would think after all these years someone would have posted a sign somewhere how to get into the place, but I guess you can only expect so much. If you all are just coming in to stay for a short time, read my post above. I don't wish that TA experience on anybody.
