I drive a 2001 T2000. The bunk heat works just fine but the cab heat does not work, pretty cold up front. Am I overlooking something on how to make the heat work? I found the valve for the bunk heat but not seeing anything for the cab.

Check under the hood on the coolant lines running to the heater core- just back trace them. On an ISX they are on the curb side (passenger side) of the engine with a valve down near the frame rail.
Good luck. -
i have a w900 and seem to have the same problem and one thing i have found is that the hot cold selector slide is not hooked to anything. it has no resistance when slid. so im still trying to fix this problem.

Is it like no heat at all, just air? Or no air blowing? Or is the heat just weak?
My t660 will melt my face off if I let it, so I would assume even if the heat seemed weak there was a problem. -
mine is as if it is either stuck on cold, it will blow you out of ur seat, and will freeze a soda if ya let it. but if you try to change to heat it stays ice cold like the selector door isnt working at all.

first off, make sure the valves are open. some trucks have 2 water valves for the bunk and 2 for the cab.
next, feel the hoses that run into the cab. usually on the passenger side firewaall. the incoming hose should be pretty warm if not somewhat hot. the outgoing hose should be cold. if it's the same temp as the incoming then something is wrong with the heater core or temperature slide door or whatever the thing has.
look for a valve tied into the incoming heater hose. if it has one. it should have a knob with a cable. that's what the temp control knob inside the cab moves to control the temperature. see if the cable is hooked up and that the knob moves back and forth. it may be froze and stuck in the closed position not allowing hot water to hit the heater core.
i don't know your truck or what it has. but those are the easiest things to check. -
water valves are open hot in cold out hot cold selector has no resistance

Check and make sure your cable is still hooked up to the selector and the valve at the bottom of the heater core.

funny you mention that oscar i just spent the past 3 hrs tearing the dash apart to get to that simply to find that yes the cable is broke @ the selector knob... so i found the valve at the bottom of the heater core and simply just pushed it open so i have heat for the winter ill fix it later in the season when i have more time and some extra money to screw with it
