See, I got fired by Uber and I got nervous. I stayed where I am, VA. Moved to sister's place so that I burn less of my savings. I don't like VA. I like Utah and WA. How long do I have to work with Swift in VA, so that they let me transfer to Utah?
    Thank you

Swift will set your home terminal to wherever you want. I knew a fair few people living in Detroit that set their terminal in Columbus so they were more than 50 miles and thus could take their truck home instead of having to leave it at the yard.

Different terminals have different rules, but time should not matter.
At my first with Swift, Fontana, CA, the rule was you could BT home if it was under 90 miles.
Some high risk areas you can't bring the truck home at all.

If you move to where you want to be there will be no problem changing terminals.
Easy and cheap if you have a friend there so you can adopt the address until you actually get there.

Swift has a cdl school in Utah.
Southwest corner of Utah is good. Some small towns there and close to Arizona, Las Vegas, California.

I'm at the West Valley terminal fairly often. It's a good terminal, one of the better ones I think. I'm assigned to the Jurupa Valley, CA terminal, but for hometime I always go to the Phoenix terminal. It is the closest one to my home and I keep my Jeep parked there.
I don't think there's any issues with switching terminals. I switched terminals once and had no problems, it was easily accommodated. Then, a few weeks later, the switch wasn't working out so well. I simply didn't like the driver leader I had been given. So, I asked if I could go back to my original one and back to my old driver leader. That was also easily accomplished and accommodated.
