There are many more people much more qualified to answer your question. I have not been here very long and the answer I give will not likely be helpful hopefully a more tenured employee or o/o will chime in. I do not believe there is any reason to compare the starter companies. All are pretty much equal in the end. The pay is on the low end at them all. The company giving you .40cpm may only have. 1800-2000 miles for you while the company paying .25 cpm may be running you 2800-3200 you just have to weigh the things you can. Are you wanting to be lazy or run hard, questions like that. I chose Swift because I live 40 minutes from a terminal. Will I stay here, who knows. Go to any of the starter companies and you will find people working there for 20+ years and you will find people ready to bash them at a moments notice. Sorry I could not really help you.

Not much difference between phoenix drivers and gary drivers. Most of swift's flatbed freight is between gary, laredo, and south carolina. So we all spend most of our time out there. But the gary drivers usually spend all their time out there, the phoenix guys do a lot of i5, utah, arizona.
ramblnman Thanks this. -
When I ran Swift flatbed I seemed to spend 2/3rds of my time east of I-35 and Phoenix was my home terminal.

Oh ok thanks for the info so far guys. . Does anyone know how many flatbed drivers swift has by chance and are they all company?
-
Do not know a total number but it is nowhere near the number of van drivers. There are company, L/O, and/or O/O.

So how do you like the best western Inn bab?
-
There are 350 swift FB drivers, maybe 10-20% l/o but thats a total guess.
