Do any of you Swifties know specifically where the drop yards are for the following cities?

Tucson, AZ - it's on the terminal map but other than showing it is generally in Tucson area I have no info.

San Antonio, TX - There is not one shown, but there has to be...doesn't there?

Ft. Worth, TX - Not far from Lancaster, but again, is there a drop yard other than Lancaster Terminal?

If not an address at least a general, "...hey, it's on southeast side near the whatever..." type of answer would be very helpful.

Thanks everyone, as always, for the time and effort.

San Antonio is at Central. From 35 south go to loop 410 south. Just past I-10 exit for Houston St. At light turn left, Central is on right. It is also the location for the Swift Academy.

As far as I know there is not a drop yard in Ft Worth unless you are sent to Burlington Rail yard. There is a fenced in area there, it's fairly new, but you have to be dispatched to get in and out of there. It is guarded and just outside the entrance to the rail yard.

OK, I am starting to think that the dropyard locations, especially in Tucson, is the new Area 51! :UFO:

My flatbed mentor did not know. Three other drivers I have asked did not know. Can't find either one below on any search engine that I have tried.

And now, my ever reliable source of Swift Intel (Truckers Report Swift Forum) has clammed up!

I see on the Swift Terminal Map that there is a drop yard north of Dallas/Ft. Worth on what looks to be the Oklahoma side of the border (Ardmore?). The wife an I are looking at relocating from where we are now in Arizona and Dallas is one of possibilities...

Which brings me to my second location of Tucson. Anybody ever been there or heard of it? Or the one midway between Dallas and OK City?

Anybody? (sound of crickets chirping and awkward shuffling of feet)

The one in Ardmore is a Swift Office on the Dollar Tree (it is one of the dollar names anyway) account. They don't let you in unless you are dropping a load or picking up I think. They also have a similar office at Target Refrigerated in Ft Worth, Sears in Dallas, Home Depot DCs both van and flatbed in Dallas and Grand Prairie, J C Penny in Cedar Hill, and Kohls in Corsicana. Then you have the Dallas area terminal in Lancaster, which opens several possibilities for local, shuttle, and other regional fleets.

Sorry I can not help you with Arizona except that DSW runs out of someplace near Phoenix, Tucson I believe?

Thanks Inkeeper! Your DSW reference, clinched it. I thought that DSW is related to Swift or the Moyes family in some fashion or another and I see the DSW tractors (with a leased to Swift decal) around the Phoenix terminal sometimes.

So I called them, and sure enough, DSW on Wilmot is the Tucson drop location for Swift.

Thanks as well for the input on the Dallas/Fort Worth/Ardmore area.

DSW= doing Swift work. :biggrin_25525: Not really their name.

Go to the kiosk and print off a list of terminals. Might be able to do that from home. It is out dated so make phone calls first. Eden NC is closed. Just 2 mechanics that do road calls.
