Modular, TMC, schnieder, and H.O.W. seem to be the best as far as low turn over decent pay good home time and friendlyness with working with the new drivers. Personaly i like TMC the best because they have the best "according to drivers ive talked to" best flatbed schools there is. This in turn would open up all kinds of oppertunity with other companys, Ive talked to a couple that flat out said unless you have 5 years or have been to TMC's school they wont even consider you.

This website had a lot of details:
http://www.truckingtruth.com/free_truck_driving_schools/swift/swift.html
You'll have to click through about 4 pages for all the info, but there's a lot there. The website author speaks pretty highly of Swift. -
I just hired on with Swift and they offer a pretty good list of benefits including dental and vision. It's not Blue Cross but it isn't as expensive and they have co-pay on prescriptions.
That said, I think it's far more important to have a good work environment. Everyone I have met so far at Swift Laredo was really helpful and just nice people. I'm sure there are plenty of lemons too but I have yet to meet one.
They are a Large company and so you have to expect the usual bureaucratic Bravo Sierra but they handle a lot of freight so you should get plenty of miles.
I'll let you know how it goes after I've been with them awhile.
Oh, you might want to talk to Riley Branch 1-972-224-9646. He was my recruiter and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. -
What Doc said. I drive for Swift and they've given me everything they promised, I drive a great truck, get all the miles I can legally run and the people at my terminal, Laredo, and others in the company have, for the most part, been completely helpful.
Although I have several years of experience it was so long ago I had to do the school/mentor route. I researched numerous companies and Swift came out on top of the pro/con sorting. They aren't perfect; no mega corporation is. I could make substantially more cpm elsewhere but the few companies that provide driver average weekly miles prove to me I wouldn't be taking home substantially more money.
The fact that you aren't getting the answers from the recruiter is because most of them are lazy pond scum who would rather lie than make the minimal effort to help you. I am headed to one of the terminals to get my ac fixed and will see if I can get something I can scan and email to you.

Here's the link for new drivers and it has the bullet point benefits avaliable. If you're looking of rmore concrete numbers of costs etc, you'll need to talk to their benefits department.
