Fellow Detroit/Mid Michigan based drivers. If you're looking for a company that will not pay you overtime. This is it. Payroll lady goes on vacation? So does your check for the week. Have issues with your equipment, you'll have to get it fixed when they're ready for you to get it fixed. Out of time on your 14 hour clock?
Use your emergency 16 hour exemption to line their pockets.
You'll be a 1099 employee but your anything but an independent contractor. They'll have a set schedule for you, and if you have any business to take care of, they will fire you when they want. "Terminate" their contract with you.
Based out of Oxford,MI and Sterling Heights,MI.
I was told to finally bring my truck in for maintenance, then recieved a termination email. I never received my last check from them . 50 hours, but bet your sweet ### I filed a reports with FMCSA and Wage & Hour division. Everything they failed give me will come in due time (Overtime) & Last check , but that dosnt pay the bills in the meantime .

 

They misclassify their employees as 1099 to skip taxes. Their rule for overtime is you have to work 6 days a week to get overtime. Having a set schedule for "contractors" working 60+ hours a week and using their equipment and trailers, makes you an employee not a contractor. Never even received so much as a paystub. Why you so concern about my impression of why they owe me?
