SVTN

Hello,
I applied with SVTN two days ago and just received a phone call from the Houston, TX office. The nice lady I spoke with advised once I complete CDL school I can attend orientation with them and very interested in me. She advised the nearest terminal is 3 hours from me, in Saraland, Alabama and they have no issues with my distance as long as I am ok with it. She advised they have local, regional and OTR positions to choose from. She advised regional is gone 2-3 days and OTR is 3-7 days max before you are home. This sounded strange to me being such a short turn around. I do not mind making the commute as long as I can take an OTR position. She did advise since I have a passport I can go into Canada.
Can any former or current employees give any recent insight to company morale, pay rates, job satisfaction?
I have no OTR / Class A experience, a lot of straight truck experience, so for those CDL students in school, companies will bend there "tractor trailer experience requirements". I currently have a pre-hire with Schneider Bulk as well.

Can any OTR SVTN drivers or those with knowledge assist? Average OTR run is 3-5 days, drop tank, then return empty. Then go home. What if I don't want to go home? Can you just return, pick up, go out and then come back to the terminal and head home? Reason I am asking I live 3 hours away. I don't mind the commute but would not do it every week. Thanks.
