That stomper account is inaccessible for some reason. So I had to start a new account.
Here's the thing... dispatchers are going to push. And that happens regardless what company you end up working. That's one major reason why the industry has such a high turnover rate. But you know, you can say no when they do that.
As for the truck, well I suppose that depends on how you view it. Yeah, when I got my first truck with the company it needed some serious work. I quite literally had to take a fire hose to the inside of it. But you see, that's a mark of the quality of driver that is no longer working for the place. They're a small company, they've only got a couple of mechanics for 30 or so trucks. You want it cleaner, that's your responsibility driver.
Myself, I ended up painting large areas of the truck, dressing it out, and I found myself becoming an advocate for the truck repair and maintenance. In actual fact, I had some fun with it.
At the moment, I'm driving at 12 Cascadia. Dd15, 10 speed, fairly standard under the skin. As usual, I've added the creature comforts. As a result of the effort I put into it, I enjoy driving it.
The ownership treats me very well indeed. I guess what I'm saying is, you get out of a job what you put into it, regardless of where you end up landing.
I don't care what company you look up on the net, you're going to find horror stories about every #### one of them. You're searching out horror stories, that's what these places are designed for to some degree, and there's no doubt in my mind that you're going to find them.
But I told my trainees, most of which have stayed, that there's a reason that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. That's where the septic tank is buried. Think about it.![]()

I start with this company on the 11th of this month. I go out with a trainer for a week and then get assigned my truck on the 18th. Not gonna lie, reading most of these comments has me kinda concerned about how the shape of the truck might be when I get as I'm not sure if Ill have time to clean it up before I'm sent out.. : /
With that said, I've had a lot of companies tell me "no". They are willing to give me a chance as a new driver with no experience and starting me at what I feel is a fair pay. I'm really hoping things are different than what I've read so far... its scary being a new driver and not knowing what to look for and what makes sense -

Well I can now give my honest experience with Superior Truck Lines...
This has been by far the worst company I've ever worked for, both in the trucking industry and in general. I will list just a few things of the many issues I've experienced in the short amount of time I was there:
-The trucks are severely under-maintained! This place will rob already beat parts from beat trucks lined up all over the property that they themselves have been broken down as well. You will bring issues to the owners attention and be told it will be fixed only to find out it was never addressed/fixed, or it was cobbled together to get you up and running. 95% of the equipment is in poor shape whether it be mechanical or physical appearance. The truck you're assigned will never be cleaned or sanitized prior to you being assigned to it. They are all pretty much rolling DOT violations!
-The safety director is useless... she is 100% about the company and not about safety. Just a quick search of the company snapshot on the FMCSA website will show you safety is not a priority for anyone there including the "Certified Safety Director". If you bring issues of concern to her, she just ignores you. Its happened to many drivers recently.
-Dealing with dispatch can be a downright a joke. They will try to push you past legal hours with shady log book methods like having you sign off duty in places or go back in and change log events. Their appointment times are just not reasonable at all and usually require you to at times exceed the speed limit grossly (again just one of many safety issues as well). If you're dealing with a major weather event you'll be encourage to plow through it at all costs even if you're lane restricted and speed limit restricted due to weather conditions. Dispatch will tell you all miles are paid when I can promise you this is far from the case. You wont be paid to drive 150-200+ miles empty to the next pick up at times, or if you are paid unloaded miles by the following week those miles will disappear. The RTS will tell you you're going to get a certain amount of miles for the load but then they us a program called "PC Miler" which uses zip code to zip code which just isn't realistic in a truck!
-Nothing like being at a "preferred fueling" location only to have the fuel pumps shut off after pumping 20 gallons of fuel. There's some severe issues with finances in this company and its only gotten worse since I've been there! Many times you have to wait hours to get in touch with dispatch in hopes of getting your truck fueled with a proper amount to continue on.
I did learn alot from this company in the short time I was there.. the biggest lesson was if you hear bad and it looks bad in person, chances are its bad period and just keep looking!
My advice... steer clear of this company and save yourself the frustration!
P.S. That "Stomper" or Eric Florack guy posting all the great things about the company is their "trainer". I will say he's a cool old guy to talk with but he will always post the best for this company as he's one of the favorites and a bit spoiled honestly. They gave this guy a really nice truck but the inside is trashed!Attached Files:

Unfortunately most bad companies will always have their “cheerleaders”…. Nuff about that.
Years ago I used to haul out of the barrilla plant in NY frequently for a now defunct dry van company and I saw superior’s trucks there all the time. From what I had seen their equipment looked like absolute garbage.
The OOS rate on the DOT safer page is at 29%…. Well over the national average, and hazmat OOS is a whopping 100%.
Recently I’ve been seeing auction ads for the place on social media, as “bank ordered”. Sounds to me like a company about to fail.
