I've got two super single drive tires, 445/50 R22.5, that are getting pretty low now that they measure at about 3 to 4 32nds. I still have a little time on them but am looking for the best value when I go ahead and replace in the next week or two. Called a few TAs and they quoted around $2885 out the door. Loves was significantly more expensive for the same tire. Michellens in this case. Goodyear and Bridgestone look to be about the same price at truck stops. Any tips on getting a better price? Non truck stop shops?
How about recaps on the drives, I've heard they have come a long ways and wouldn't you be able to dodge FET on recaps?

I have almost 400,000 on mine. I run Michelin and figured $1500 a piece when I get new but I also get a discount
So that’s about 1.5 cents per mile
If you don’t get a discount I would look into either NASTC fuel card and see what their tire discounts are
Or OOIDA
I also buy mine at an actual tire shop. Not typically a Truckstop but maybe with a corporate discount it won’t matter? -

His reply
Multi energy
It’s tagged a trailer tire
They are new at 16/32 and xdn2 are 26/32
These are more energy efficient
I always tell everyone you get what you pay for… you are purchasing more rubber with xdn2
Xdn2 would be better in snow
We run multi energy on drive, tags, and pushersRunningAces Thanks this. -
You can buy truck Michelin tires through Costco. Go inside a store and get a quote.

I don't suppose a 455/55 r22.5 would fit where I have 445/50 r22.5 would it?
Edit: nevermind they are 445/50. I am considering getting a pair of them. For that price it might be worth taking even though they have less rubber. Might make the decision based on if I can find a load to the area.boneebone Thanks this. -
I ran trailers on the drives got like 150k before l put Goodyears on. They did great.
