I have Oakley regular glasses and Oakley prescription sun glasses for a few years now and love them. I tried contacts but the whole putting something on my eye wasn't happening.

Is that the fastest way to become a super trucker?

Oh and I did Oakley because I have been using their sunglasses 20+ years. Before my eyesight got bad I would get migraines from direct sunlight so it has been a good investment and they have always been great working with me.

Yeah but you also have to get one of these hands free headsets and wear it inside the truck stop.

    Noted. Oakleys are super nice.

I wonder if I could hook that up to my belt-mounted CB rig.

I have extremely sensitive eyes that tear up at almost any possible irritant. Sunglasses are an absolute must for me. I actually have a pair of prescription aviators just like the ones mr cruise is wearing in the picture above. I don't have problems losing or breaking mine because I've been wearing glasses since I was five. I did wait until my first paycheck, but I did my training in the northerner winter with few sunny days.

Nah, it's the real deal. They're made in China and shipped via air cargo. You need to be really careful about the frame measurements if your head is any larger than hat size 7 3/8 or 7 1/2, but they are cheap. We bought all of my sons glasses there, at 40 per it was a lot cheaper than replacing them annually. I've got a progressive bufoical with prism, won't be using them for those.

Get them. Polarizing is nice for glare reduction, but can make it extremely difficult to see screens on the people-net display in cab, or the display on your GPS. I wear grey polarized, have for over 30 years. They're handy when I go fishing, too! ;)

I've had a pair from https://www.vicious-vision.com for about two years now.
They were a bit pricey but I've yet to scratch them doing flatbed work. I'm always wiping them off with the inside of my shirt in dusty areas and that will usually kill glasses fairly quick. So far so good.

I just buy the $10 S&W sunglasses @ TSC. Look good, work good, and at not going to break the bank. Then again, my eyes are good and don't need corrective lenses. You could always get these:
