offering 34CPM and $10 for tarping. seriously? don't shippers pay the carrier around $200 to tarp? this would also be a 5CPM cut from where I was 4 years ago. I know things are slow, and I can't be too picky since I've been out of work for a year and a half. but this isn't much better than continuing to be unemployed. they told me I'd get 1,800-2,000 miles per week (home on weekends.) this would be a fairly reasonable estimate when things are jumpin', but not right now. I would think closer to 1,200 miles per week (if we're lucky.)

the sunbelt rigs I remember seeing were pretty nice. but yeh, cypress's stuff was pretty rough. I doubt if many companies are buying shiny new rigs right now anyway.

Sunbelt/Cypress stay busy, they have most of the gypsum tied up in Florida along with New Line Transport. I run along I-10 and see them daily hauling all types of freight. Beggers can't be choosers in times like these, personally if I had an opportunity to get out and be productive again, I'd be all over it, but that's just me..........

Sun Belt is not Cypress express they are owened by Patriot holdings, who also owns Florida Rock and tank lines (FRTL). I am a Gas Hauler and know alot of guys that works for FRLT they seem to do alright. I just wouldn't work for them because OTR and skatebording isn't my thing.

Sunbelt is no longer part of patriot, google them and you will see they were bought out by Cyrpress in 09.

Wow TrashTrucker, I didn't google them but I will take your word for it. Don't think much for Cypress sorry to hear that. That means Florida Rock must be going down hill. They are pretty good company
