I stopped at a truck stop and a woman was selling these for $100. Its a flashlight stun gun combo. Might be a good thing to have on your pretrip for those sketchy truckstops we have to stop at occasionally. Anyone have one?

There are some cheaper ones on the market but Taser is a brand name.

Does that work for actually looking at stuff under the truck and trailer in the dark. A good flashlight is required equipment. I might get my wife one of these.

My husband got me one... I drive the night shift, and stopping at rest areas HE feels better knowing I have it... However HE is the only one that has 'used' it... A male prostitute followed him to the truck, grinning at him through the windshield. All my hubby did was spark it and the guy left... However since I was fast asleep in the back, and sparking it has a VERY distinctive sound, it brought me WIDE awake!! LOL... So that's the joke.. He bought it for me, but he's the only one that has used it :D

How powerful is it?? Any pretrip done in the dark should always be done with a true spot light.

uh, no you can't look at stuff with a hammer Sparky. I also have a flashlight, would you like me to list all the tools I carry ? I was just pointing out that for myself the hammer has been sufficient for self protection. I wasn't asking to be zapped.

The main question is how well is that flashlight stun gun combo going to work? I'm with you Dan. I carry my 16oz ball peak to thump my tires and my mag light in my other hand. Seems as though people don't really mess with me though even with as small as I am. I don't see a point in wasting money on something like this. Is it a decent idea yea more so for joggers though. If I'm doing my pretrip I'm not going to use a stun gun you're getting a hammer to the head if it don'tknock you out yyou're not going to be happy...and hopefully it knocks enough sense into you to leave me the hell alone right along with every other truck driver in america.

Don't know how much the Canucks like seeing those in their country.
And if you do zapp someone,he goes to a ambulance chasing lawyer...........

I usually carry a three cell LED maglite brighter than the sun to see with. Could make a useful club, then later light up the scene for forensic sample collection LOL.

If it's a real sketchy area I bring this little pecker with me too. A tenderizer in the front, party in the back.
