    Hello everyone,

How do you strap and secure soft cardboard lids on a flatbed without causing any damage to the cardboard?

Thank you in advance to your answer.

I tried V boards but they still crush the cardboard. Unless I am using the wrong V board. What do you recommend?

Strap it just tight enough so it doesn't fall off and then tarp it REALLY tight...lol

Yeah what is the product ? If the shipper loaded you on your FB, apparently it's common. #1, ask the shipper, #2, ask/notice other trucks getting loaded. #3, get on truckers report !

    PPNLE Thanks this.

Crush it and tarp it. Long as the product isn't damage who cares about the box. I see guys crush pallets and dunnage everyday thinking jumping up and down on their winch bar somehow makes a 30,000lb coil or beam more secure. I once had a van load on my flatbed going to the border in San Diego. Made me question my life sitting down there at a DC for dry vans and was too low to bump their docks and they couldn't figure out how to get a forklift outside of the building. Was there for over 10 hours waiting for a rental fork lift to come.

I know it would be a pita but you could lay a wooden pallet on top of what you’re securing and strap over it. That would spread the tension out even more than V boards

Kyle G., Diesel Dave and Ruthless Thank this.
