I can guarantee it is not a “POS”, so over built it’ll still be around when I’m long gone.

Many pluses to this tool besides being over built, like @JonJon78 said there’s no more clamping it to the rub rail and leaving all those tiny little holes in the reflective tape, the shaft rotates on a bearing and is very smooth and last but not least should you decide to ever pull a conestoga like I chose to do, it’s the only one out there that’ll work short of building your own. Last plus is it’s American made and if I haven’t said it before, way over built.

For $70 I would certainly hope it was overbuilt. I like that it's made in the US but that isn't synonymous with guaranteed quality anymore either. Mine doesn't damage the tape, nor leave any holes/marks. It just slips over kind of like a money clip. Not sure if it would work with a connie though so I can't vouch for it in those regards.

Just because it has that screw- in to tighten to the rub rail does not mean you have to use it. I roll mine up all day just hanging it loosely on the rub rail and slide my straps off easily. The trick is to kinda push down and out as I slide them off the roller. It also helps to have it next to a stake- hole to brace it. My opinion it is a waste of time to tighten that thing down and loosen it every time for every strap; might as well hand roll, it would take the same amount of time....

Have this one as well. Works fine. Purchased at trailer dealer, was about $15.

Funny you mention the lower price. I too just saw it at Mytee for 15 dollars but it was out of stock.

I found the Bumblebee strap winder that is powered by a portable drill at the Iowa80 truck stop. It is by far the fastest and easiest way to wind straps.
