Mostly concerned about Ontario.
Can I run straight stacks, with a resonator? I heard you will be ticketed for not having a muffler guard of some sort.
I cannot find it in the regulations, I have been looking through the Highway Traffic Act online.
Thanks

Straight pipes are likely to get a ticket if inspected, but the exhaust guards are only sometimes enforced ... I drove a w9 with 8" pipes for about 2 years, nobody ever said anything to me, and there were 2 other trucks he had also didn't have exhaust guards. However, have heard stories that some inspectors see that and like to write tickets for it ...

Truck I ran once in awhile had 7" straights with a 550 kitty cat and no one ever got hassled with it. Don't be ignorant in small towns with the jakes and if pulling into a scale, be quiet sneaky sneaky with them lol.

your more likely gonna get a ticket for improper muffler then a no guard ticket which I've never heard of. I know a lot of guys running straights and only onegot a ticket for improper muffler. I got one years ago too with a p/u truck that was straight piped $115 ticket
