Not only are they training in Texas, Colorado as well. This Company is ripping off the Government!! Stevens is posted on Craigslist in Colorado and at the Workforce Center, paying peanuts. I do know they are getting government money for everyone that does sign up for the program. Company needs to be looked into.

They are doing exactly what every training company does. Using the government programs to make profit. Nothing to investigate. You want something to look into, look into the government and all those work training programs.

Will they hire you if you have a non violent, non sex, non drug, non person to person related felony 16 years old?

Sorry if I dug up an old post, I did a search to ask my question and this company the OP talks about is one that I was really looking into

I'm getting my mountains mixed up.Is Monteagle that one near Chattanooga,or one I think I'm confusing with 4 th of July Pass? Either way,if you remember it's name it must be more than a molehill. Hell, I was over Cabbage twice before I realized that ''it'' was the Cabbage everyone was talking about.Oh well.I just figured it was another big ### hill and took it easy going up and going down,,

Either way, depending on what you have in the box, either of those can be a real p.i.t.a. no ,matter what you're driving.I've been lucky to get 25-30 mph up some pulls.Sometimes even less than that.

I just got off the phone with them and that lady was VERY short with me like she was in a hurry. I told her the charge I had and it seemed to be ok with her.

They don't pay you while you're in school but they do give you 70 a week for food... Also you seem to be out of the house a lot longer than with cr england.

This is one of several "training" companies. Meaning they take drivers who have NO experience and let them drive very expensive equipment hauling very expensive cargo. Think about it what other job would give you that kind of responsibility. I know I have seen many accidents involving trucks on the road. I cant imagine the insurance costs alone.

They are self insured so that cost is minimal. Just like what they pay. They use rookies to pad their own pockets period. They don't want any long term drivers as they get paid almost a decent wage. Grind them up and spit them out is exactly the model they have set up and run. And in a poor economy like we have now there is no shortage of people in dire straights willing to drive their junk for a while until they can't stand it any more.

Yes, that's the one. There is a really good trucker friendly Chinese buffet there.

Totally wrong. They are insured by great Western Insurance. The self insurance is ONLY for workers compensation, as Texas law allows.

Equipment is all less than 5 years old, and well maintained. As for grinding up and spitting out, that is ALL of trucking, as it is not as easy of an unskilled labor job as so many people think it is.

And with rookie drivers, and higher insurance cost, they are not Padding their pockets that way. Now by using all the government programs that pay them and all other training companies, that is where their padded profit comes from. And then if the rookie quits within the first year, they owe for the schooling too.

somebody needs to get their facts correct.

I think he was refering to the stripped down fleet junk. Not the tires and oil change intervals.

All companies do not chew up and spit out drivers. Why would you even think that ? Your condasending attitude is quite funny when you realize that the very dirtbags your defending are more than likely laughing at you.
