For any steel coil heavy haulers in the midwest out there let me know what you think about Steel Transport in Gary, IN. Curious to see what others think. I work here now and just found out this trucker report web. Great place to work in my opinion.

Do you really want to know what we think or are you a recruiter?

I am not a recruiter. I am curious what others think. But I am interested in helping to get the name out of my company. No denying that they have treated me well.

We do these once awhile...if I remember they were weighing 85-90k. Black iron for pipe.

Never would have guessed they weigh anywhere near that.

Being that far back, are you light on the drivers?

Used to be anything over a 48k was big. But just because it weighs more, don't mean it pays more, like it used to.

I dont understand the new day term of "Master Coil". In the past that was black iron and normally was cheap. I actually think they have coins the term "master" to simply fool people to think they are something special. They have cheapened they heavy haul steel loads. The multi axle trailer loads, permit cost, and the law watching you constantly. Ill stick with my 5 axle outfit for time being.
