This company has a very bad rep even with their own customers.
They had so many bad reviews on their own website, they had to take it down.
In my experience, they tried to pay me for only one of two loads I did for them and they did successfully NOT pay me for several hours detention that occurred at night on the second load and then having to wait the next day to unload from 7am til 12:30. STAY AWAY!

Yep.. they're real creeps. Had a driver DH 200 miles to PU a "Hot Load" load for them. Had driver wait all day at shipper while freightcenter.com was promising that the load was good and that he'd "straighten out the problem" and get my driver loaded. In the end he ended up telling us.. "not my problem.. No.. not sending u a TONU either". First and only time I've ever had that experience in this business. I ended up paying the driver out of my own pocket for DH and layover. Will never do business with them again. This was well over a year ago but will never forget the arrogance of the guy we were dealing with.

florida has always been full of guys and companies like this. the new bond requirements may have helped, but i just stay away from any of these guys based in florida.

Personally, I think the new broker bond has done nothing to change things. OOIDA said it was a step in the right direction to get rid of the bad apples. But, thieves will always find a way to get the startup money they need to get into truck brokering. The only sure way to get rid of these chumps is to get jail time and fines for them. Otherwise, they'll keep on doing what they do and the new $75K bond just gives them more time and money to rack up before the FMCSA can shut them down. Unfortunalely, small, good brokers like myself and others I knew in it were forced out of business because we couldn't afford that jump.

I don't feel good about leaving any person/company bad marks. I understand that sometimes certain things don't always go as planned. I work for a very unique craftsman shop. My boss had contracted with FreightCenter for shipment of a high dollar / high profile project which our staff put their hearts and souls into. The service that was provided to my employer was not only unprofessional, but completely dishonest. They failed on their end to place our product into the hands of a very important client who relied on us to deliver a one of a kind order, and once discovered their error, did not even offer a solution to satisfy our client. Needless to say, recent months have proven challenging on income. This was a vital contract that would have brought much needed financial relief to our staff. This failure has kept money out of the hands of those of us who could really use it. At a time when our situations are uncertain, the lack of professionalism combined with a resistance to work with my employer has added un-needed strain on all of us. I would suggest that this is a firm that has an element that does not take their responsibility to clients seriously, especially when it counts. We have paid a heavy price for making the mistake of using this service.

I'm not taking sides here but sometimes a bad trucking company causes problems that the broker doesn't see.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Not that I'm taking sides either- but this is definitely one of those, "I feel like there's more to the story" situations.clausland Thanks this.
