I made the mistake of seeing the ad for free schooling and a great job with CR England and got sucked in. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Not only do they rush you through the schooling, but they don't teach you anything you need in the real world. Backing for example, you spend 2 days learning to back before you take the test, and its not even alley docking, which is what you would actually need to know in the real world. They teach you how to strait line back and parallel park. You need to know how to back to a dock and they don't teach you that. Aside from the rushed schooling, the company is crap. Lowest pay I have seen out there. They promise you loads and miles, and you do alot of sitting around and waiting and not getting money for it. They are stingy as hell on detention pay and have to jump through hoops to get it and forget about layover pay. Then when you get sick of it and try to apply at other companies, no one wants to hire anyone from England until after they finish their 9 months because England has a reputation for suing you and the company for breach of contract. Now, if you want home time, not only do they make excuses saying they don't have any loads going that way, but once you get home its hell getting back. I came home for a 4 day home time, and I have been sitting here almost 2 weeks waiting on a load. I can't quit, because of that stupid 9 month school contract since no one will touch me till then. DONT FALL FOR THE HYPE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Lol, the only thing they do is send you a bill for financial contract you signed with Eagle Atlantic. You agreed to pay, like any other loan they can report it on your credit if you do not pay. Who was mixing the kool aid you've been drinking? You obviously did not read anything about that company before going...

Well if they sue there other companies that would hire you, if that the case there will be many lawsuits going on just on me leaving them. I dared them to come after me after I took my truck in for repairs and they did not fix it and then later I had to refuse to move till it was fixed once I seen and was getting sick from the fumes. Sat at a Flying J in WY freezing over night with a headache like there was no tomorrow. This was weeks after a Trainee and Trainer team was killed due to the same issues.

U got better schooling then me Lol I practiced in my bosses yard 6 days 7th day got my cdl 8th day I was insured later that evening I was on my way with my ice chest and GPS lol

Same old song and dance. I have no sympathy for ignorance. And if all you do is find every bad thing about any company you work for, you have no place in a seat.
They did you a favor; their job is NOT to teach you to drive, it's to get you a CDL...they have a CDL school. you learn to DRIVE with your trainer, who admittedly, are made up of 1st year rookies and a few veteran drivers.
You learn to BACK with your trainer.
THis is with most any training company. They helped you get a CDL, and even though you owe them tuition, you still have a gold card for employment.
IMAGINE if trucking schools, Med SChools, Law schools, could all suspend your licenses until tuition is paid in full for the training you got to get your license to begin with.
(I hear Dr.'s are in the top 10 of student load default, because after they are making high wages, they pay cash for most stuff and never repay loans, that just hearsay though) -
Every company out there has people that wine and cry and blame the company for everything, however, they also have drivers that have been there for over 20 years. It is what you make of it. I most people get into trucking for the wrong reasons. I started with England in 2005, school paid off but I leased and didn't do well being a rookie at the time and owe them 4000 dollars which isn't on my credit report. You just have to find that one company that you are happy with for the rest of your career. A lot of people need to honestly learn how to manage there finances too and learn to live with in their means instead of crying they don't make enough money trucking. I started out making .25 cpm but I never whined or cried about it knowing I needed to put in my time and prove myself before I got paid more money. Most of today's society want to come in making what the top guy makes when they don't have the experience the top guy has. If every company was as bad as most complain they are then they would be out of business.

I never worked for cr england, but the reports I see are mostly negative.
The op didn't say he wanted to start out at the top. He said he is sitting a lot. So he isn't earning much. Sounds like he has a reason to complain. -
My wife is there now been there sense end of June . Let me tell you how it has been for her ...... Greyhound bus was late by 45 mins , then spent the next 27 hours on different junk buses ( no ac /breakdowns) just to get to cre once she got there the bus took her right to school not the hotel like she was told . Tired and ready for a shower had to sit in class until 5 (instructor making comments that someone smells) .Then to find out that the class started the day before so now she is a day behind ..all in all she studied hard got her permit on the first Wed . Now the range there are so many students that she may get 1 or 2 times in a 12 hr day to practice or even drive . They rush you through to the dmv to test .There you MUST resite your pre trip , in cab , 4 point word for word if you miss one word your done . First time she was the only female an missed by one word (examiner gave the guys a second chance) . She then started staying late and going in earley to practice before class . Second time at dmv she did pre trip fine did the cones fine but her front bumper was on the line failed again (only female again) .Then yesterday cre had everyone that had not passed yet do the whole test for them something new (mostly women) for them she passed with flying colors .Instructor asked her why she couldnt do that at dmv she said if she was a man she would be on the road already .Today she is testing again she made the decisson if she dont get it she is done an coming home to do it , if she gets it she would have to put up with 3 or 4 more weeks of cre bs an be labeled at terriost if she quit an came home . I fined that bs to label someone a terriost if they get there lic an say I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF CRE BS .
