Ugh my first time in this part of the country. Let me know if there's any problems with my route or if there's a better/safer way please.

Going to state highway 440 and victory blvd. It's exit 7 on 440. Coming from hamburg pa exit 29 on I 78.

Taking I 78 E to I 287 to st hwy 440 crossing the outer bridge crossing. I will be 30k lbs going in and 80 lbs going out.

Going out probably the same route into PA then taking st hwy 33 up to I 80 into ohio.

My biggest concern is the bridge and St hwy 440 is not marked as a truck route on the atlas but there is plenty of industry there so trucks get in there somehow.

Route looks okay. Been awhile since I've been down there. Bring lots of toll money! You're gonna puke when you pay the bridge toll! $95 cash!

NavigatorWife, HorseShoe and Chewy352 Thank this.

The toll for Outerbridge, as well as Goethals and Bayonne is only one way. Verrazano is tolled leaving Long Island(Brooklyn) so it won't be that bad, you won't have to pay that one($86). 20 bucks to leave NJ for PA on 78.

I don't know about 440 in NY, but it is a truck route in NJ. I'd take 78 to 24 up to 287 to 80 and miss the NJ coop on 78, but that's a personal choice. Any road out there might be backed up.

I run 78 to 81 to 322 sometimes, too, if I need to run by Harrisburg to meet up with family.

Well if I Pass gets the same discount as EZ Pass try to get across the bridge before 6 AM. Saves a few bucks!

Thanks everyone. I'm running in and out tomorrow so hopefully traffic won't be too bad but who knows right.

Where are they working on 322? I was in central PA about 6 weeks ago while on vacation but didn't have a reason to take it other than from 81 to 15.
