Business Consultant Needed. I was in the process of purchasing a roll off business but the deal fell through as the business partners selling just couldn't agree on various aspects. The business, located in the central Florida area, has 5 trucks, dumpsters from 10-40 in size, etc. and a net yearly profit of around 400k. There is actually more business in the area than they can handle as they are often out of dumpsters but aren't willing to put anything into the business as they are selling. I considered starting a franchise and although there are many positives such as knowledge, experience, bulk purchasing, policies, procedures, etc. there are just as many disadvantages with one of the primary disadvantages being you can ONLY do things their way. So, if you decide to add portable toilets or just do something slightly different, you are in violation of their policies not to mention that nowdays if corporate does something politically wrong, etc. it will easily impact all franchisees. Therefore, I am looking for a consultant (no luck on google) and/or systems, procedures, etc. (The good stuff from a franchise) while still being able to remain an independent. I am not trying to get something for nothing but do need decent advice and/or direction in order to find a consultant in this specific industry if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.
