My 780 battery doesent hold charge and plugging it in it only last for a couple of hrs . Honestly I have been without Trucking GPS for a year and just use google maps , I always double check my routes and I havent used my Atlas in like 4years . Im gonna attempt to replace battery in my 780 since I have taken the month off from trucking , another thing to occupy my time .

Garmin truck GPS is king. I’ve owned a couple Rand McNally truck GPS devices. They were garbage. I lost hundreds of dollars. Never again. Garmin has been in the GPS business for a very long time.

I’ve heard some good things about the CoPilot app, but I just don’t trust truck GPS apps. I’ve tried several in the past, and they’re still lacking. I remember liking Omnitracs NaviGo when I had it years ago. It was legit. I don’t have it anymore.

Copilot was all I ever used when I was otr. While my atlas collected dust

    I don't think it's available anymore.

CoPilot Truck is alive and well for Android, iOS, and Windows.

I've upgraded a 620 several times. Mostly for traffic cameras, I believe, but the first time took all night connected to my wifi at home, very extensive.

It routes as often as I use that, but I don't routinely use routing, I know where I'm going, most of the time. New stops don't seem to be added as much as you'd think.

The worst trouble I have had has been bad cables. The trucks tend to be a rough environment, and it's best to not disconnect the one going into the magnetic mount very often. I like the size and the mount. But I don't keep it on the windshield. Got that consarned ELD up there just about able to reach and see as it is.

    By Trimble?

Is it any good? Since it's universal for trucks and cars.

I've been using Hammer for 3 weeks. It's new so I expected and experienced a few glitches. I started in Dallas went to SLC, Portland, SLC, LA, Chicago, and now NJ. I'll continue using it because I verify the route and know if it's trying to send me the wrong way. I'm happy with it and the price is right, free.

Trimble has been buying up transportation tech companies for several years. Like they bought PeopleNet and ALK (CoPilot.) ALK is the same as it has been for 30 years - they still make their bread and butter from PC Miler fleet products and CoPilot GPS apps. They are also still big in Europe too. It's on the iOS store for Apple, Play store for Android, and my site for Windows. I only do the truck version (which includes all other modes in the lower versions, like RV, cars, pickups, motorcycle, cars, etc.) But for Android and iOS they have many, many other cheaper versions than just truck for regular consumers. The app is just the continuing evolution of the CoPilot GPS programs and the PC Miler GPS devices. It's just all software now and no hardware.

My Dezl770 still has some funny operating glitches, like going to phone mode when I never use it, but for the most parts the maps are a TON better than they used to be. Several updates a year. Customer service department that actually listens and confirms what you tell them.
