just because he didnt get a ticket doesnt mean its legal,if race haulers can do it at over 40 feet then i want to be able to do it also
-
That trailer should have dump valves in it. My Pete, which is a former RCR truck, has switches for both the fornt and rear axles.

(Not my photo).
Now, this all makes it sound like American-Trucker is in the wrong because, in fact, the trailer's weren't legal. However, a big problem with pissing off NHRA hauler's is racer's like V. Gaines who, among other thing's, started Western Distribution (WDTC, you know, the shiny blue Pete's and Kenworth's). When all of this came down they started pushing California to draw up legislation to permit overlength race-trailers in California. And considering they've gotten in and out of Pomona this year, chances are the permits are now available.
But, they're not the only state with laws restricting OAL for non-specialized trailers. -
there is the key word-permit- as in paper permits, probably what all the teams have
-
good enough then, but its still not right for the rest of the truckers having to abide by the 40 rule

Last time I checked race cars were NOT a vital or even neccesary good or service. Same old ######## one guy thinks he is better than everybody else becauase he has money.

Boo hoo. You guys aren't happy unless you have something to ##### about. Get over it already. These spread axle haulers drive all over the country each year with no problem. Nascar uses them as do many of the World of Outlaw sprint car teams as well as other types of racing, no problems. I know because I've been involved in racing my entire life and have been around this style of truck for a long time. And the funny thing is oilfieldtrash, you are the only one saying anyone thinks they are better than you. Don't be jealous because a guy gets to drive a shiny new truck with millions of dollars of race equipment in it. I wouldn't want their schedule shiny, fancy truck or not, lol.
