SPN 475904 Fail 31 Freghtliner M2 6.7

    Hello all,

    I'm trying to figure out what this SPN code 475904 means as I was unable to find anything else about it online. The amber engine light is on and it also reads fail 31. The truck seemed to have the same amount of power throughout my 150 mile journey home last night. I filled the truck with a fresh box of DEF about 100 miles prior to the code showing up.

    2014 Freghtliner M2 with 6.7 Cummins.

    Idk what that is but that is not a cummins engine code unless it’s translated through freightliners BCM that way Cummins FCs are 3 to 4 digits long, does it have any performance issues?

    Yes, when I called the Freightliner dealer to ask them what exactly this code meant they were unable to find anything about it. Took to local repair shop, they said that the DPF was 58% full, did a forced regen which cleared the code.

    Keeping an eye on it the next few days, thinking I may have gotten some low quality DEF or stirred up so soot in the DEF tank when I filled it.

    DEF Quality shouldn’t have an effect on DPF soot load All of the SCR system is after the Aftertreatment. That is odd that the dealer couldn’t tell you faults even after hooking up to it.
