Looking at a truck with an 18spd and a spicer 4 spd. aux trans. Can anyone tell me how you would shift this? It does not have 2 sticks it has a small stick next to the drivers seat, with splitters on it but the stick itself does not move.

By splitters I mean it is an air shift aux tranny

Some trucks in the 1970s had them 4speeds in rev. made for some looks in truck stops, its in the back box.

Here is the pic of what it looks like. Was wondering if you could use this in all the gears or if it just something you would use in the big hole to split it four more times.

I never use 1 and 2. I just put mine in 4 and go most of the time. If I'm heavy I will put in 3 and split to 4 any where I feel comfortable. With the 13 and 18 speeds they are really just there for more overdrive. The half steps in the big trans is too close ratio to use the aux effectively. They do come in handy in soft stuff cause you can really make her crawl in under and low low or 1st and 2nd.
bullriding383 Thanks this. -
Sounds like what I was thinking, thankyou. I was hoping that that is how it would operate
