So recently I've been seeing a lot of white Werner trailers with there logo where it just says Werner on it. Not the arrow logo that they had on everything but there name now like it appears on the air shield of the truck.

Is Werner doing away with all the blue trailers? I know the white trailers were usually on dedicated accounts, but lately I've been seeing less and less Werner blue trailers and more and more white one's with the other variation of the company logo.

Personally I always liked Werner's blue and your black tractors and blue trailers always looked really sharp. I know Werner gets a questionable wrap at times, but Werner always had a decent looking fleet can't fault them there. Anyhow I don't really care for the new livery there going with using there other logo, but what ever I know places like to change logo's from time to time. My company last year changed there logo and I'm not crazy about the new logo, but that's how it goes.

Could be a financial thing. Same with Schneider not putting orange on their tractors anymore. I kinda like the new logo, more updated. Look at PAM logo, looks like it's still in the 80s.

Most likely more for resale value, a used white trailer will sell faster then a blue one, just like a used white tractor will sell faster then a used orange Schneider tractor.

I always thought it was and I know a lot of these companies have gotten away from irregular route running, but I always thought the white trailers were for like dedicated accounts and the blue one's were more general freight OTR here there and everywhere jobs. However I know the whole lower 48 state OTR thing is pretty much out the door now and it's all dedicated so on and so fourth. So I guess they really don't need to have a huge big general trailer pool anymore. However I surely understand the whole thing about Schneider getting away from the Orange trucks and trailers.

I know Werner for a while now has gotten away from the blue trucks with there pin stripping and stuff I mean as far back as 10+ years ago Werner was like Prime and started just buying trucks of any color. Oh sure they have a few fleet trucks in there blue with there pin stripping and everything, but I know they really really got a way from all that and you know it's for the used market you can always tell an old Werner or Schneider truck and trailer and I'm sure some companies don't care, but I know some do. I know LTL companies tend to buy used equipment and no LTL company is going to buy a used blue Werner trailer.

I mean okay some mail contract hauler who doesn't care it's fine, but it all makes sense.

I towed behind me a white trailer, emblazoned with the new logo, with stickers indicating that the trailer was for a dedicated account, 45,400 lbs of cat litter...... let that sink in........ I run OTR..... The worst part, IMO, is that the trailer was equipped with super-singles.

But yeah, the blue is about to be a bygone. Kinda like the manual transmission... I'll keep mine as long as I can... Only driven an auto car; only driven a manual semi... My world is messed up!

Wabash plant in Lafayette,IN has a ton of brand new white weenie trailers, not a one puke blue in sight.

As mentioned, it's all about resale &/or a little bit of refreshing the brand as well.

Think of how burned into mind people remember that weird blue or polarizing orange trailer when they see all the wrecks & screwups that come with having a mega carrier - now y'all blend in better.

Well as they say "It isn't easy running an empire." Actually though I always thought and read that Schneider and Werner all had fairly good CSA scores a lot better then some other carriers like Land Air Express of New England.

How long will it take them to phase out the blue? What's Werner's trailer life cycle? I know where I work our trailer life cycle is as high as 15 years sometimes.

I had not noticed it, probably not what they want to hear. normally it is updated as the old one wasn't being noticed. I found a press release from January 4th where they have a few lines about it.

....."Werner also took the opportunity to introduce the new decal package that will adorn all of the company’s new trucks and trailers. The updated branding is being applied to new trucks and new white trailers as they are added to the company’s fleet. Werner's truck age is expected to average less than 1.5 years by the end of 2016."
