From my understanding of the concept, and I could be wrong, slip seating means that when you go home for your hometime, you drop the truck in the yard. Then when you come back to go back on the road, you get a different truck because someone else has already taken your truck.

Instead of having a truck exclusively assigned to you, several different drivers will operate it. Running OTR, it probably won't be an issue so much as it would be for LTL and local drivers with larger companies.

Slip seating is mainly day cabs local or out and back. Truck will run 24/7 usually.

Make sure you cut the truck off, roll the windows up and fart on the seat before leaving it, preferably after a big lunch at taco bell....it's good luck for the next driver

Just not TOO much taco bell, or it could turn into "slippery seating", and that's no fun for anyone!

Don't work for a company that does this. Unless you can go home every night.

Slip seating doesn't necessarily make a company bad. If it's a crappy company to work for, chances are, they'd be a crappy company to work for either with or without the slip seating. Although, if I were an OTR driver, I think I'd find the slip seating to be way too much of a hassle to put up with.

Totally different transmissions. Super 10s are, IMHO, the worst thing ever shoved behind the engine of a truck. With a super 10, you have 5 forward gear positions and you split each gear, only going through once. With a regular 10 speed you only split once and go through the pattern twice. You know what they say about opinions, though. You may like it.
