I gutted my sleeper out and noticed only half inch sponge as insulation . Can someone suggest what would be best to do as far as sound and heat/cold insulation ?!

For sound something like dynamat, Hushmat, or a number of other sound deadening products. For thermal I dont know if there's much that can be done with only an Inch or so. But there's lots of products on Amazon for sound and thermal

I think products like dynamat are for deadening road noise that gets transmitted through the steel of your vehicle. Not sure how much extra it will buy in a sleeper at the truckstop.
There is a great product made from sheeps wool , its spendy but its what you would get in a high end offroad RV.
There is also thinsulate and recycled denim

Aerogel will give you the best performance in a thin-section insulation, but it's spendy. High-end rigid foam (polyisocyanurate) and closed-cell spray foam products give about equal performance and your best bet is probably a combination of the two, depending on how important it is to you.

Spray foam has the advantage of sealing air losses better (which is an important consideration on a sleeper). Dealing with the thermal bridging will gain you a lot as well.

Checking out various RV forums would be a good start.

I know about hushmat and dynamat .
Was wondering if someone used cheaper alternative with good results .
Did dynamat in my pete when carpet was replaced ... didn't see much difference to be honest

We have a spray foam business on the side. Foam does deaden some sound, but I think it would have to be thicker than what a truck interior allows.

I sprayed my friends flat top FL 120. I used a small froth pak kit from menards. It was low pressure so there wasn't much clean up. That's your best bet for thermal insulation.

I just say a very small froth kit at Truckers Supply in Meridian Ms. Wouldn’t cover much. Must be for reefer repairs. I thought about drilling small holes in my freightliner plastic sleeper wall panels, filling them till it comes out another. Would have to use the window and door, low expansion closed cell spray cans.Same stuff used in reefers. The other stuff, can continually expand for days, even weeks and end up with a pregnant looking Classic. Lol. Kinda like the 97 and up WS sleepers. The other idea is Automotive type peel and stick foam. It comes in all thicknesses and types. I used to have an assortment of it from the dumpster at Foamade, a local supplier near me, when I worked local. We have another place, called “The foam factory” Open to the public. I’m guessing they have it. The best would be a closed cell, but not anything like memory foam that gets hard in cold temps. Something that stays soft I used the Arctic king foil insulation from Lowe’s. Poor mans Dynamat. Another inexpensive product at Lowe’s is the foil covered bubble wrap heat duct insulation. For best results, needs an air gap to work. I’m not sure what I’m going to use on my sleeper. Thinking a real thick layer of closed cell foam on the ceiling, will help most in the heat. Sides, sound deadening is more important. Anything’s better than the current nothing.

That post was way too long. Lol. I just looked them up, Foamfactory.com. They have all sorts of stuff, and they ship. I may go in there this week myself, as my roof panel fell down, 1” of cheap foam only. Lol
