Hey everyone. I am looking at many options for trucking schools and came across a school somewhat close to me called Skyway Trucking School. I have looked to see if anyone here has mentioned this school and wasn't able to find anything.
Please if anyone has any information on this school let me know. I see they have a website but much rather get some info from those people who have first hand experience with them.

I have attend Skyway Trucking School in Hesperia, This is a BIG joke of a school. This is what I saw: very old trucks are in use. Only 2 trucks to use for roads and only 1 can go to DMV. The other would never pass the DMV pre-test. Classroom time is zero as there is none. You are given very little teaching on anything. You are on your own in the yard most of the time to as thery told me to "get it right". If I needed help to "get it right" that helpwas never there.
It can take months before you get a chance to get to DMV. Even then you are taking a old truck that is hard to drive and hard to pass on. The transmission is that of a super ten split, which is not even made anymore.
This a very poor school and a waste of time and money. Even their so call job assistance is a joke. You are given a paper with a list of trucking companies which most are not even in bussiness any more. I was better off using a phone book from 1999.
The reason the trainers are so bad is, well how willing would you want to teach at min wage. -
I am still looking for that right school and this does not seem to be it. I have learned of two schools closer to home. One is CTI but I am still in the process of researching this one. The other is some local place and haven't really looked at them yet.
