Just heard from a former employee that my companies great deal of paying for half of your insurance isn't no great deal at all. They tell you the cost is a certain amount and that they pay half. Only the half they tell you isn't as high as what they say and they pocket the "mistake". Do this to enough unsuspecting drivers and you have a tidy little sum at the end of the year.

There are so many “slush funds” in the RV delivery game it’s just not funny. One of my favorite is the “dealer wash”. If you go and make a delivery and the dealer charges you for the wash - where does that money go?

At the end of the day the dealer will pay a lot person to wash the unit anyway before delivery - so why charge the delivery driver for this?

Don’t get me started on the “take out” fee.

I know a company that set up a "logistics" division (complete with broker authority). All loads were booked through "logistics", which kept a cut and then sent the loads on down the "trucking" at whatever lesser rate they wanted to pay the drivers their percentage on.

I tell new drivers that want to be O/O find your own customers first, then buy a truck. No Broker or company to deal with.

I don't believe any "Drivah" off the bus some time ago at any time with any company has enough oppertunity to examine the top tier of a given Company Financing. If they are going to say something that somehow is going to shake this industry into the path of fudicary truth and light they must be on something me believes without evidence.

Then again... any worker is allowed to accumulate the capital to buy the company at question later in life. Then maybe he will learn what's what at the very top as sole owner. /slight sarcasm.
