    Gee....not very good reviews.

Maybe I should spend the money on that Cobra 29 Bluetooth I've been thinking about instead......

I do like the Lockridge report. Pretty informative industry news.

To be honest,I never understood why the heck they pulled the loading dock for them two morons in the Freewheeling show. The loading dock was much more entertaining and informative then the Freewheeling. I never liked Marideth since the time she called people who chose to speak against the government (Tea Party) a bunch of dumb rednecks. And a few times she has taken swipes at Christians too. As for Dave Nemo, his show is nothing but a three hour commercial. This guy will do anything for a buck. One moment he preaches against playing with laptops while driving then he pushes Cyber trucker laptop holder which helps drivers play with their laptops while driving. Like everything else he pushes it is way over priced.

Love XM for everything but what they do with the trucking channel. Freewheeling from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm central, then again from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm central every day! Ugh! Dave Nemo has a lot of informative guests and topics, but I do agree that his endorsements mean nothing to me. The Lockridge report is ok, but Evan reminds me of the kind of 'yes men' you find hanging around important people agreeing with everything they say without contributing a thing to the point. My biggest frustration is not hearing ATBS and Beyond with Kevin Rutherford on the weekend. His show is often preempted on XM. Calling to complain is just as frustrating.
Thanks for allowing me to vent, I've been wanting to do this for a long time.

If you're looking at satellite radio, get it for the music. The Road Dog Trucking channel is horribly bad. Chris n Meredith are the worst of them. They both seem, no matter how much they purport to like trucking, are the most condescending hosts I've ever heard. Bozo, like said in an earlier post, is a top shelf doom & gloomer. Dave Nemo is a 4hr commercial.

Then to top off all the non music channels, are the commercials that make me want to toss it out the window. You know the ones, the idiot copy writers who still think that repeating a phone number 3-5 times, back to back, will drive it into your mind. That type of idiocy was proven to actually have the opposite effect more than 20 years ago.

Although, this could be coming from me just not being a big fan of call in type radio shows and getting the closet psycho-babble that spews out of some of these rocket surgeons mouths when they call in.

    maybe it's just me.

Definitely consider sat radio, but not for the trucking channel, or any other non-music channel, as Calve says. The music is awesome, channels for every genre/mood, and for real no commercials (which makes the constant commercials of talk radio even more unbearable than they were before!)

Don't waste your money on that BT CB garbage! First off, it's just a glorified BT speakerphone from what I understand, the BT is not really integrated into the CB other than being in the same enclosure. Secondly, you'll have to be blinded night after night by that awful blue night light.

Instead, but yourself a Cobra 29 with [NW WX] Night Watch (infinitely variable dimmer), and weather band if your truck's stereo is not equipped. Also consider trying out the new Limited Edition 29, but don't pay more than $130 for it. I think Wilco and Loves have it for $129.

For your BT needs, pick up a Blue Parrot B250-XT. It's worth every penny. My advice is the skip the fancy new Xpressway headset that Blue Parrot brought out, I bought one and returned it to resume using the old B250. But I've talked to others that like the new one. It offers three different wearing styles, but I found none to be as comfortable or natural as the B250's one, and everyone complained I was too quiet (because the boom doesn't extend as far as the B250.)

Hate to take this topic off-road...
I too have the Blue Parrot, but I bought the Xpressway and I also get the same complaints about volume. I like the back of the neck and around the ear headset, but would be willing to give it up for more clarity. In your opinion is the B250-XT really that much better regarding clarity? Did you return your Xpressway to Blue Parrot or where you purchased it from?
    Thanks,
    Sprinks
