This marks a very dangerous precedent for all of us truckers who are out here just trying to support our families. This is my opinion and not looking for opinions. If you agree please sign, share and get involved.

I at first thought the sentence was excessive. But once I learned he couldn’t read English and got his CDL illegally I thought maybe instead of 110 years he should get 30 years. And the people that hired him and put him in that truck and the people that helped him get that CDL should be in the same cell as him.
If there’s a petition to hold all accountable not just the driver I’d sign that in a heartbeat.Flat Earth Trucker, Bud A., Rubber duck kw and 10 others Thank this. -
No.
Flat Earth Trucker, Bud A., ProfessionalNoticer and 11 others Thank this. -
I read the petition because I too think the sentence is excessive. But there were too many things in the petition that I disagree with.
ProfessionalNoticer, Hammer166, homeskillet and 3 others Thank this. -
He didn’t do everything possible. So many truck driving jobs out there he could have left and gone to a company that valued safety. It sucks I feel for him but according to the investigation he did attempt to flee the scene. I get it adrenaline and all but 10 people were unable to walk away that day when you include the injured.
I have changed my mind 110 years is excessive 25-30 is probably more acceptable. -
I’d agree with reducing his sentence , IF everyone else who facilitated his becoming a driver , had to serve the time that gets knocked off his sentence .
he got what he deserved in my opinion .WildTiger1990, Flat Earth Trucker, Bud A. and 8 others Thank this. -
How about no. Guy got his CDL in at BEST an iffy fashion, he changed his story at least a half dozen times that i know of, tried to flee the country, KILLED 4 people injured and maimed several others, skipped several runaway ramps that even if he cant bloody read SHOULD have been obvious of their useage, CHOSE to run into the vehicles rather then try to avoid them, took the #### hill WAY too fast, had several violations found on his #### truck, and in general did absolutely everything wrong. If it had just been one or two things then sure MAYBE 110 years is excessive and i could agree to it. But considering all the above as far as i am concerned the guy is getting EXACTLY what he deserves. The only thing i DONT agree with is that the people who employed him or gave him a CDL arent also being charged as accessories at the MINIMUM.
This guy through his own actions KILLED people and ruined the lives of dozens of people. Frankly it seems that the only reason people feel sorry for him is he is not white. If he had been white id be willing to bet money no one would care. Additionally if we sign your damnable petition and brandon follows it then what is even the point of our #### legal system? It sets a VERY dangerious precedent afterall if we can pardon crimes because fee fees then whats to stop mobs form demanding death sentances or that people who are let off because of the law but are unpopular from being locked up or going to death row? What happens when someone is FALSELY accused of a crime that is then proven he did NOT do but because he had a southern flag or said something mean suddenly has a death mob that makes a pitition and has him killed or imprisioned for a crime?
So no i will not sign your #### attempt to sebvert the law. And if you dont like the law then do things PROPERLY and respect our legal system and fight to have the law CHANGED so if and when he appeals the law is better. Dont try to subvert the justice system because fee fees.Bud A., ProfessionalNoticer, Rubber duck kw and 12 others Thank this. -

No, sorry. He essentially murdered several people. He had the opportunity to take a runaway ramp, but chose not to. Actions have consequences, and one must be held accountable for said actions.
Let this be a lesson to others.Sirscrapntruckalot, Flat Earth Trucker, Bud A. and 5 others Thank this. -
No one but the trucking company he is/was employed by should be held accountable for this accident.
This was in the petition.. what a bunch of unadulterated bs…anyone who supports this type of BS is the problem.. it’s called accountability and as a cdl holder you have the responsibility to safely operate equipment and if it’s not then don’t operate it..Sirscrapntruckalot, Flat Earth Trucker, Northern Nomad and 2 others Thank this.
