I'm the kind of person that feels 'icky' if I don't get at least one shower per day. I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the lack of sanitation and convenience when it comes to truck stop showers. Would it make sense to have a camp shower on the truck, or is that just too much of a hassle?

Impractical.
Water hook-up and water disposal?
Water inside the cab/sleeper?
I've seen pics of showers in high-end rigs.
I think you can buy portable showers -- Google it
You mean something like this? (Model not included)

You'd still need a hookup and a drain; can't just dump the water anywhere.

50 gallons of fuel normally gets you a free shower at a truck stop. I cant imagine not using 50 gallons a day and I don't think there are too many TS showers that would be worse than hanging a bag on the side of your truck, plus the trouble of refilling the water supply. I do carry some camping equipment tho. I have a 0 gravity chair and hibachi and if I were out more than 4 days at a time- I would find a place for a smokey joe

You are going to feel icky,
on occasion.DrtyDiesel, T-RIX, Mommas_money_maker and 3 others Thank this. -
If you get caught somewhere without a shower credit, have to stay overnight at a shipper/receiver, rest stop, etc - baby wipes work for some folks. Others do a quick GI bath... all you need is a gallon of water and a small plastic tub.
Mommas_money_maker and Gizmo_Man Thank this. -
ALLOT of baby wipes can get you by when you find yourself 'non shower situation'. Buy 2 or three big tubs to keep in reserve.

Yes, please don't traumatize me like the 60 year old 250 lb butt naked man I seen behind his truck taking a jug bath.
The image is burned in there forever!CenutryClass, Preacher Man, Southpaw7391 and 3 others Thank this. -

Walmart sells wet wypes for adults....as in elderly. They are extra large, extra strong and extra soft, so says the packaging.
But seriously, they are and they work great in a bind when you can't properly clean your 2,000 parts, at least you can clean what needs cleanin!
There are 48 wash clothes in a package for around 2 bucks if I remember correctly.
ship71021, Motownfire and Crusty Thank this. -
cool. have to get some.
